2003 Harley-Davidson V-Rod 100th Anniversary Edition

March 21, 2025 / 0 Comments / 0 /

In 2003, the American maker released the Harley-Davidson V-Rod, a cruiser motorcycle known as a muscle bike due to its high-power output. The V-Rod was part of a street custom series in Harley-Davidson’s range, comprising cruisers manufactured from 1999 to 2017.

The VRSC was first introduced in 2001 as a single model named the V-Rod, developed to compete against other Japanese and American muscle bikes. The bike was powered by a Revolution engine developed by Porsche Engineering in association with several engineers from Harley.

The 2003 Harley-Davidson V-Rod was fitted with a raked-out fork on the front, a pulled-back handlebar for a more relaxed, laid-back riding position, a low seat, disc wheels, a silver-finished aluminum frame, and a two-into-two chromed, slash-cut exhaust system.

The bike took its power from a Revolution 1,130cc four-stroke V-twin liquid-cooled engine with a fuel injection system, delivering 115 hp at 8,500 rpm and 100 Nm (74 lb-ft) torque at 7,000 rpm.

The full disc wheels were fitted with two 300 mm discs with four-piston calipers on the front and a single 300 mm disc with a four-piston caliper on the rear, delivering excellent stopping power.

As for suspension, the bike packed a 49 mm telescopic fork on the front with 100 mm wheel travel and two adjustable shock absorber on the rear, providing excellent suspension performance and handling.

โ€œCoffeeโ€™s was established in 1975 at this very same location. Classic cars, especially Corvettes are now, and always have been our passion, hobby and livelihood. We have never sought a high volume of sales, but rather chose to offer fewer selections to include some of the best cars that money can buy. To ensure our customerโ€™s satisfaction, our cars are treated to an intensive pre-sale process which is second to none. This includes a comprehensive service of all mechanical systems (front to rear, inside and out) to ensure they are safe and functioning as the manufacturer intended. The chassis, suspension, brake and steering components are inspected, cleaned, restored, replaced or serviced as needed. Once satisfied we next move to cosmetics. The exterior trim, paint finish, interior components, engine compartment, trunk compartment (jack, spare wheel/tire, tools, etc.) are inspected, serviced and tested prior to intensive detailing. To our knowledge, we are the only dealer in the USA to provide this level of attention and detail to their product. Our goal is to provide a truly beautiful car that performs and drives as great as she looks, ready to be enjoyed upon delivery. This process is extremely labor intensive, the results nothing short of fantastic!!!โ€

1969 Plymouth Road Runner —— “SOLD” “SOLD” “SOLD”

December 12, 2017 / 0 Comments / 0 /

Hello Jerry,
I apologize for being so late in delivering this testimonial to you but here it is:
I had been browsing the internet off and on for a special car from one model year in a particular body style and particular color for quite a while with no luck. One day I was scrolling down through a seemingly endless listing of that model year and at the very bottom, there it was, a 1969 Plymouth Road Runner Convertible in F-8 Forest Green. I was stunned. I started scrolling through the photos of the car which had reportedly been through a โ€œnuts and boltsโ€ restoration by an outfit called Coffeeโ€™s Corvettes. That a Corvette shop would step into the โ€œDark Sideโ€ and restore a MOPAR seemed a bit odd, but car was gorgeous. I made โ€œthe phone callโ€ and spoke to Jerry who came across as a very personable straight shooter. Car dealers always try to come across that way but in speaking to Jerry I was convinced he was the real deal. We negotiated the price for the car over the phone and via email. Having settled on a number that seemed fair for both of us, all that was left to do was go take a peek at it in person. We worked out a day we both would be available and I flew out from St. Louis to see the car armed with a three page list of items I wanted to check, from the top of the car to its bottom. Jerry was super accommodating and humored me as I went over the car and even put it up on his lift so I could check the bottom side. The car was stunning in person and everything I looked at was perfect. We completed the purchase on the spot but Iโ€™d spent so much time going over the car that I ran out of time and had to get to the airport for my return flight. On the way to the airport, courtesy of Jerry, I realized that though I saw the car driven around to the lift, I had never actually driven it myself! Oops! When the car arrived in St. Louis, I was excited to film the car backing out of the trailer. The truck driver started the car. It rumbled to life, and rumbled, and rumbled but it didnโ€™t come off the trailer. I poked my head in and discovered that the driver couldnโ€™t find reverse so I had the pleasure of driving it off myself. After Iโ€™d gotten my new pride and joy home I did find an issue with getting power to the taillights. Jerry and his guys did everything they could to help me walk through it to find and fix the issue. Ultimately it turned out to be a broken wire under that dash and a simple fix. Jerry and his guys could not have been more helpful via long distance.
Finally, what prompted me to finally compose this was the BEST IN SHOW AWARD the car earned at the National Museum of Transportation โ€œAnimalโ€ Car Show this past weekend. Thanks again for a great restoration of a great car, Jerry, and for sticking with me to make sure it was fully functional. Iโ€™m very glad that you agreed to take a little walk on the MOPAR โ€œDark Side.โ€
Best regards,
Frank Palazzo
